A New Chapter for Learning in Mekelle
Axumite International School was founded in 2026 by a group of educators and parents who shared a simple belief: that children learn best in an environment that is both academically ambitious and deeply caring.
From Early Years through Grade 12, our classrooms bring together students from more than fifteen nationalities. At every stage, our commitment to each individual child sits at the heart of who we are.
Axumite is building one of Mekelle's leading international schools, delivering the Pearson curriculum in English while teaching Tigrigna intensively as a mother-tongue subject — so that global readiness and cultural belonging grow together rather than in competition.
